Who writes this site?

My name is Titouan Jouanot-Goupil, a computer science engineering student. CampusTech Guide was born from a simple observation: before each school year, everyone asks the same question — "which PC should I buy?" — and the answers online are either pure marketing or written by people who never set foot in an engineering school.

I use the tools these pages talk about every day: IDEs, Docker, virtual machines, data science projects. The site's recommendations are based on this real student experience, not on copied product sheets.

Our method

• Start from the real usage of an engineering student (courses, projects, virtualization, data).
• Analyze market configurations on objective criteria: RAM, CPU, SSD, battery life, weight, upgradeability.
• Only recommend machines able to last the full engineering cycle (3 to 5 years).
• Update the guides when the market or usage changes — the changelog is visible at the bottom of each page.
